I’ve switched to Brewfile just last week.

FWIW, it seems to just execute every non-comment line in the file, adding brew as the prefix.

One thing I hadn’t considered before: using a Brewfile, there’s no way (AFAICT) to prefix a given command with sudo (in case you need to install a cask into /Library rather than ~/Library, for example). You either run the whole Brewfile as sudo, or you don’t.

I might switch back to just a .brew file because of this.
