Sorry, but for now I will not accept this pull request. And reasons are:

compass doesn't have "animation" and "calc" mixins yet (maybe in future I will add an module called "extension.less")
"calc-width" is too specific (but more general version of this mixin will include hacks due to platform limitations and thus will not be handy)
