Hello,

net-snmp FTBFS on debian kfreebsd that compiles with libkvm with errors like:

/usr/bin/ld: ../agent/.libs/libnetsnmpagent.so: undefined reference to `kvm_openfiles''

https://buildd.debian.org/status/fetch.php?pkg=net-snmp&arch=kfreebsd-amd64&ver=5.8%2Bdfsg-2&stamp=1578419927&raw=0

What are the options for analyzing this further and for testing a fix? Can I easily register a shell account on a kfreebsd system? I have been able to download a kfreebsd DVD image but my attempts to install kfreebsd in a VM failed. I have tried the IDE, SATA, SCSI and virtio storage drivers. Only with the IDE driver a disk is detected. Creating an UFS partition on that disk fails however.

Hello,

I'm not sure about a shell.

You can get a snapshot ISO at https://people.debian.org/~jrtc27/debian-unofficial-kfreebsd-amd64-NETINST-1.iso after that you need to add the following sources to /etc/apt/sources.list and apt-get dist-upgrade:

deb http://ftp.ports.debian.org/debian-ports unreleased sid main
deb-src http://ftp.ports.debian.org/debian-ports unreleased sid main

The latest version of the V5-8-patches builds fine on my setup in a kFreeBSD VM. Please retest.
