NetBox version

v2.11 beta on beta.netbox.dev

Python version

3.7

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Go to a VM
  2. Select "add interface", create e.g. "eth0.100" and save
  3. Edit the interface
  4. Set parent to "eth0.100" and save

Expected Behavior

Should not be able to select itself as a parent

Observed Behavior

Can select itself as parent.

(This is different with devices. The interface itself still appears in the parent dropdown, but an attempt to save is rejected with an error)
