With the aforementioned combination, the usbhid-ups driver only successfully matches the UPS and starts its main loop once. If the driver is stopped and restarted, the UPS is not detected until it is unplugged and re-plugged:

Using commit b14c3b4 on libusb-compat-1.0.

Same test conditions as issue #599.
