The first item/section in the GNU GPLv3 should be labeled 0, but it is instead labeled 1. This should definitely be fixed as this can change the meaning of the document, and may mess up some things. It also breaks the changing it is not allowed restriction placed on the license by the FSF.

This can be solved via inline HTML as this StackOverflow post describes, or section headers can be used instead.

I personally favor section headers because you have the potential to easily link to them.

Ack, good find!

I've updated the GPLv3 license to address this. GPLv2 needs it too; I'll get to that next
