Add local images and reformat bullet list

Reviewer: This is a follow-up PR to a posted "What's new" announcement. The original post had broken images in the UI, but it worked in the docs site. This PR changes the references using remotely hosted images to local images, since the remote image are not parsing correctly in the UI (only on docs).

Please confirm the following:

• The two images display correctly using Markdown syntax for local images (instead of the previous HTML syntax with the width attribute).
• I shrank both images, so please confirm that they are readable.
• Check the minor revisions I made to the bullet list to improve readability.
