Cool, thank you Nimisha, I would go ahead and make this work as you have shown on your mock up. we can change things on the way, but first lets have something working. The other solution would be as gmail does, they add the tags in front of the recipient, but that doesnt scale for us, because we have 3 column view and they have full view for the envelope, so more space for them, and not for us. |
The Important tag will still be "special" and have its own icon on the the avatar and explicit actions to mark as important or not important. Hence I suggest to hide it from those bubbles that show underneath each message. |
I'm splitting this from the generic ticket #25 so we can discuss the design better.
Envelope list (second column)
The Nextcloud Mail back-end now support tags and you can access them via
envelope.tags
. The one for important email is already visible to the user via the importance icon top left of the envelope avatar. The tag can be toggled via the envelope's action menu. Now the question is: how do we display the rest of our current five default tags work, personal, to do and later, but also any other user-defined tags once we have a UI for the user to define their own additional tags?
With #4123 we'll have more vertical space.
Thread details (third column)
Just like in envelopes we should show the tags in the thread view, because each of the messages in a thread could have tags attached.
