After opening a big file in glogg, there will be a progress bar at the top saying something about an index being built. If you start a search from the search bar at the lower half of the main GUI while this is being done, the results will be incomplete. If the search is re-done after the indexing is done, new results will appear.

It would thus seem like glogg misses all results that are not yet indexed. A more reasonable behaviour could be to continue searching the index as it is being built, as opposed to completing the search prematurely.

This should work if "Auto-refresh" is selected, doesn't it?

Yes, it appears like the issue only occurs with auto refresh disabled.
