ActsAsRateableBy

This is an extension of the classic acts_as_rateable_plugin. This extension lets any model rate any other model


Example
=======

Suppose you have a Book model and a User model af you want a user to rate a book. You need to set up a ratings table in your app using the following migration:

      t.column :rateable_type, :string, :limit => 15, :default => "", :null => false

      t.column :rater_id, :integer, :default => 0, :null => false
      t.timestamps
    end
    
    add_index :ratings, [ :rater_type, :rater_id ], :name => "index_rater"   
  end

  def self.down
    drop_table :ratings
  end
end

Every model that can be rated (in this example Book) must include the following line:

acts_as_rateable_by

This is what to add to the controller:

@book = Book.find(1) # an instance of the book model

#If the user model is rating and the user with the id=1 is doing the rating, rater_id = 1 and rater_type = "User"
  
Rating.delete_all(['rateable_type = ? AND rateable_id = ? AND rater_id = ? AND rater_type = ?', 'Book', @book.id, 1, "User")

#in this example user 1 has given the book a rating of 3.

@book.add_rating Rating.new(:rating => 3, :rater_id => 1 ,:rater_type => "User")
