I don't know what "UppÃ¥kra" should be. Should it be Uppåkra?

Yup. In the .ged it looks fine (via grep):

✗ grep -n "UppÃ¥kra" teten.ged
✗ grep -n "Uppåkra" teten.ged
746:2 PLAC Uppåkra, Skane, Sweden
749:2 PLAC Uppåkra, Skane, Sweden

That looks liks an old debugging statement I never took out. You can comment it out.

        if($me && ($me->xref() eq $other->xref()) && ($me->xref() eq $self->spouse()->xref())) {
                my $sex = $other->sex() || get_value({ person => $other, value => 'sex' });
                die $sex;
        }

Ah, ok. I was debugging the 2 people, and everything looked normative fe/male-wise so... wasn't sure how it was tripping on this one after processing 425 others just fine. Thanks!

OOoo!!! We've got a successful run on this GEDCOM!! WOOT! 🎉 On this GEDCOM:

  • Looks like I DO need my 115-bday-of-living-is-private branch.
  • Looks like I DON'T need my 112-hacks-round2 branch.
  • Looks like I DON'T need my 123-utf-8 branch.
