The following wiki pages will help you set up environment for information extraction from tables.
The pipeline for information extraction for biomedical documents (and some other) consists of two tools:
TableDisentangler is responsible for pre-processing and disentangling of tables in XML format, while TabInOut uses the output of TableDisentnagler and can be used for writing and executing information extraction rules.
TabInOut is a tool written in Python programming language. It was developed as a part of Nikola Milosevic's PhD project at the School of Computer Science, University of Manchester. The project was funded by Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council and AstraZeneca.
All developed materials are free and open source to use as they are. Author assumes or undertakes NO LIABILITY for any loss or damage suffered as a result of the use, misuse or reliance on the information and tools of this project.
