Use following commond install nimrod and build babel:

brew install nimrod
git clone <babel>
nimrod src/babel c -r install

Will get an error message: src/babelpkg/packageinfo.nim(4, 12) Error: cannot open 'tools'

Resolved, brew install source too old. using official installer.
