@posborne this is actually super relevant to nix CI: I'm resurrecting a project I have to run commands in container context without root privileges or any daemon. I'm really hoping it'll allow running commands inside container images under Travis without sudo: required.

Excellent, sounds like a very cool project. I work in the IoT space myself (SmartThings) and have been thinking about various ways to use the individual isolation technologies under the container umbrella for our hub technology. We're starting to roll out more rust code on our hub/cloud (including some which depends on nix) which is exciting.

P.S. I see your giving a talk at RustBelt later this week. I'll be out there for the conference as well, so hopefully we'll bump into each other at some point.
