Capstone-React-Native-Frontend

Introduction

Vizlator is a mobile app that allows a user to take a picture or choose a picture from user's own gallery to either get the text from image translated or having an object identified from a picture and get the words best described.

This app is integrated with a Flask API. The user is able to create an account with us through Google Sign in and able to save their favorite images and words.

Installation

  1. Clone this repository.
  2. Install the Expo command line utility by running npm install -g expo-cli.
  3. Install dependencies by running npm install.
  4. Download Expo Client if you would like to test it on a cell phone.
  5. Or simply download Andriod Studio or Xcode to have it running on your laptop.
  6. Start server by running expo start.
  7. For testing on cell phone, simply scan the QR code that appears in the Expo metro bundler.

Vizlator is developed by Ada Developers Academy cohort 13 studnets - Hannah Joo & Sharon Cheung as a capstone project.
