The AmongUsCockBot was a reddit bot operating under the user u/AmongUsCockBot.
Simply mention u/AmongUsCockBot in reddit and it will respond with an among us cock.
As of 29/4/21 19:00 AEST, the bot has ceased all operations as it was permanently suspended from Reddit.
- Mention u/AmongUsCockBot in a reddit comment somewhere and it will respond with a random Among Us cock from the cock list.
- PM the requestee if the bot is requested in a banned subreddit.
- Some other cool shit.
The bot was running in a private docker container on a remote server somewhere in Singapore.
The container will not be made public for security reasons.
- The origin story of the bot begins with reddit user u/SCP-079NotActually creating a petition in reddit's premier copypasta subreddit r/copypasta asking the moderators for an "Among Us Cock Bot". The post gained significant attention amassing almost 7000 upvotes in the community.
- Reddit user u/keijyu took up the challenge of actually creating the bot as detailed in this comment
- The bot posts dev log [0] marking the beginning of it's service.
- Celebration post is submitted onto r/copypasta celebrating the birth of the bot.
- Commit #d2b0299 sees the beginning of the bot being able to PM users when it is requested in a subreddit it is banned in.
- Thanks to @Lachcim for pointing out that on screens wider than 850px the ASCII art is distorted, and contributing to the bot to fix this issue! The changes made by @Lachcim was merged into the Main branch and put into production on 20/4/21.
- u/AmongUsCockBot was suspended from all of Reddit on the night of 29/4/21. r/copypasta remebers u/AmongUsCockBot as a King and his death and censureship is compared to the novel "1984" by George Orwell.
