Multiline paragraph annotation

Is it possibile to annotate paragraphs on multiple lines instead of single word / multi-word inline?
This example shows an annotation of whole lines that works for short sentences while doing inline

When I try to cluster these annotations in paragraphs the text (belonging to multiple lines) goes on the same line resulting out of the visible/delimited svg are

while I would like to keep the multi line as-it-is from the source text and annotating the paragraphs.
