Adding multiple paragraphs to abstract

How can I add new paragraphs to the abstract? I have added the abstract in the _quarto.yml but I cant figure out how to get it into paragraphs. I have tried \n and breaking it up with quotation marks but it isnt working.

OK. I figured out how to do it. To get the abstract into paragraphs, this seems to be the style that needs to be adopted. You alter this in the _quarto.yml file. EEH: Notice the | after abstract:

  abstract: |
    test to see if 
    
    this works

This then renders as:
test to see if
this works

I tried lots of other options such as \n, quotations, etc but this was what worked for me.
