Hey TSC!

Node.js Conf Italy is looking for a keynote speaker from the TSC or Node Foundation to talk at their conference on October 22. This is a community, non-profit conference.

Are any TSC members interested in going to Italy, speaking directly to the community, and representing the TSC and Foundation?

The Foundation has funds set aside for travel. As I understand it, the TSC manages this fund. So your flight can almost certainly be covered. Plus, the conference has speaker perks listed here: http://nodejsconf.it/call-for-paper/

(cc @mcollina who is organizing)

tosses hat in virtual ring I'm free and available. Admittedly I do have a rather specific role in the TSC (Inclusivity WG rep), so I may not be what you're looking for?

Ideally, the keynote should be about Node and the community, and where node is going. It's a keynote talk to set the tone for the conference! How about you send us an abstract, and we move it from there?
I don't want to spoil it to everyone before we actually announce it on the website :).

hehe, will do :) Just to clarify, you want me to submit through the CFP process on the nodejsconf.it website, correct?

You can also send directly via email, as you prefer :).

Does this need to remain open now?
