Public participation

We stream our conference call straight to YouTube so anyone can listen to it live, it should start playing at https://www.youtube.com/c/nodejs+foundation/live when we turn it on. There's usually a short cat-herding time at the start of the meeting and then occasionally we have some quick private business to attend to before we can start recording & streaming. So be patient and it should show up.

Many of us will be on IRC in #node-dev on Freenode if you'd like to interact, we have a Q/A session scheduled at the end of the meeting if you'd like us to discuss anything in particular. @nodejs/collaborators in particular if there's anything you need from the TSC that's not worth putting on as a separate agenda item, this is a good place for that.

Startup performance update:

• Added support for BindingData in the snapshot: bootstrap: include v8 and fs modules in the startup snapshot node#36943
• Going through other embedder objects to support in the snapshot: Support Node.js embedder objects and bindings in the snapshot node#37476
• Working on class instance member initialization support in the snapshot in V8: https://bugs.chromium.org/p/v8/issues/detail?id=10704

V8 is in good shape:

• All known issues on Apple M1 are fixed
• We updated yesterday to V8 8.9 (will be promoted to stable next week)

Update on the apple silicon stuff:

As mentioned above the V8 issues are fixed and we have green ci.
Ive turned on the job in node-test-commit so all PRs to master should be getting tested.
Ive opened up a ticket with macstadium to discuss hardware sourcing/ recent DTK situation from Apple.

Haven't worked on it for a while. @ryzokuken has contacted me and shown interest in helping with this initiative.
