Notes

The agenda comes from issues labelled with cc-agenda across all of the repositories in the nodejs org. Please label any additional issues that should be on the agenda before the meeting starts.

Joining the meeting

Zoom Meeting; a link will be posted here shortly before the meeting starts.

A standing invitation exists for all @nodejs/TSC members who are not also CommComm members to attend in observer capacity.

Public participation

We stream our conference call straight to YouTube so anyone can listen to it live, it should start playing at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCQPYJluYC_sn_Qz_XE-YbTQ/live when we turn it on. There's usually a short cat-herding time at the start of the meeting and then occasionally we have some quick private business to attend to before we can start recording & streaming. So be patient and it should show up.

@bnb I won't be able to participate on that meeting. I'm still on vacation, and I'll be back only in January.

Hey! I should be there for the first half of the meeting, although I may no be able to speak.

Quick note: the link of localized time says it happens at 20pm UTC. Is that right? Shouldn't it be 17pm UTC? Or has the time changed?

@Tiriel ugh, thanks! Should be 17pm UTC - I think that's hard-coded into the tool we use 😞

@bnb Having the schedule shift at the last minute for every CommComm meeting makes planning to attend meetings very challenging. Doubly so during the holidays. I should be able to make this, but have had no opportunity to plan and prepare for some very important discussions for @nodejs/user-feedback.

@dshaw apologies for the miscommunication - looks like the calendar hadn't been updated appropriately because each meeting is entered manually, not as a recurring meeting. I wasn't the one to initially set this up, so I didn't pick up on this detail when I had changed it prior.

That said, this isn't an intentional schedule shift - this is actually in accordance with the cadence we've set with our past two meetings. Again, apologies that the Node.js Foundation calendar doesn't reflect this - I'm still learning the ropes with it, having only been added as a maintainer of it this month and having to have requested changes from others in the past. Your understanding is appreciated.

Hi all, I also missed the meeting because of holiday travel and time zone confusion. @bnb, hope it goes without saying that I’d love to help with the site redesign in whatever capacity is needed! @pup, meeting notes say you are taking point on this – would love to chat about moving forward if you’d like the help!
