Mystique Synchronet 3.17+ Command Shell

This is no longer in development.

I'm writing this synchronet shell since I couldn't find a simple one that was written in js - they're mostly in BAJA and that prevented a lot of what I wanted to do. I'm pulling a lot of inspiration from various other BBS software.

NOTES:

At this time I am not officially supporting this. It works and shouldn't break anything in particular though.

I am working on making it more generic so others can use it without any additional third party mods.

The default menu screens are awful, I know.

Features:

• Simple to create child themes. Just rename mystique.bin to a new shell code used in scfg and put new theme ANSIs in a matching directory in text/menu/ --- If menu file is not found in this directory, it will use the default in text/menu/mystique/
• Improved 'last 10 callers' page, based on ami-x style boards (with user activity flags for entries)
• Random ansis for everything. ex: main.ans,main2.ans,main-new.ans,mainfive.ans should all rotate for main menus.
• setting overrides for sub themes (default font, colors, etc)
• Using a theme Amiga with fonts should result in prompts using regular ascii characters
• Overhauled Defaults screens

Recent changes:

I've been working on the shell locally off and on, just haven't been pushing changes.

11/18/19

• Reworking of last callers code. No longer using JSON database, I know it's rediculous that I keep changing my mind.
• Moved fastlogin.js to login event. Wanted to avoid modifying core files like logon.js. Thank you DigitalMan for adding the option to turn off the built in last callers via modopts.ini
• Streamlined some functions. Turned a lot of really shitty code into just shitty code.
• Currently working on using native SBBS functions instead of my redundant ass hackjobs, when possible.

3/9/2018:

• Reverted back to using JSON database for lastx callers. I decided I wanted more display flexibility across themes.
• Thanks to eChicken and mcmlxxix for help with the JSON db coding.
• More cleaning of terrible code.
• Added more horrible code.

2/28/2018:

• JSON database for lastx callers, automsg and rumors no longer an option. I didn't feel it was really needed.
• rumors and automessage mods are no longer built in and will soon be released separately.
• Cleaned up my Incredibly Terrible code a bit - is now merely Really Terrible.
• Streamlined menu options - it's very likely some options are missing on the menus or vice versa.
• Separated settings and functions into different files so that I can further separate rumors and automsg into their own mods.

Installation:

Place the menu files in /sbbs/text/menu/mystique Place the .bin and .js files in /sbbs/mods/
