Recovery of Documents

I originally imported documents when I switched from Notepad++ to Notepadqq on my Ubuntu machine. Now when I open Notepadqq, It asks me this:

Whether I hit yes or no, then make changes (closing/deleting tabs/files), making changes to files in the tabs, etc., those changes do not persist, and when I reboot my computer and open the program again, this dialog box opens again, and I've lost any changes I've made (closed tabs, changed content in tabs).
