UPDATE: I reuploaded patch zip file with hotfix, original release was causing errors when when trying start the Steam version of the game (missing SDL.dll and SDL_mixer.dll). New patch archive contains SDL.dll and SDL_mixer.dll as workaround. If you downloaded earlier version of the package, download again and copy missing SDL files into game directory."

Version 1.1.0 key feature is sound effects improvement, game should sound closer to the vanilla DOS version now. . Also added better windowed mode mouse support (locking/unlocking cursor) that can allow streaming of the gameplay. Full list of changes below.

If you have already previous version of the patch, just overwrite existing e2140-unofficial-patch.dll with the new one from the zip package and run the game.

Fixed

• Heavy Lifters, WTP100, helicopters, HAT transporters sound effect is played either too often or doesn't stop if the unit landed, stopped moving or was destroyed
• Explosion, weapon fire, UCS mech units walking sound effects are partially missing, especially during battles
• Sometimes keyboard hotkeys doesn't work for unit commands, like stopping unit with 's' key
• Restored 'm' hotkey functionality to the vanilla version - switching between mines/walls for miner units. You can no longer use 'm' key as shortcut for moving units.
• Two bug fixes related to the AI that should result in less/no glitching of AI with inifite unit production

Improvements

• Mouse lock/unlock support when running game in windowed mode (with WIN option when running from command line); better but not perfect support for Alt+Tab and window defocusing
• ALT+F4 and close window button are now working correctly in main menu and game screens (except unit/building database view and during playing cutscenes)

1.0.0-alpha

Alpha version of E2140 Unofficial patch for GOG release of "Earth 2140 Trilogy" RTS game. This version addresses most of AI issues found in Windows version of the game. It's primary purpose is to check if patch installation and running doesn't cause too many troubles when running (anti-virus software, Windows Defender, Windows UAC).

To install, extract E2140-unofficial-patch-1.0.0-alpha.zip archive inside Earth 2140 Trilogy game directory and run E2140-patch-installer.exe. Check README.txt for detailed instructions and troubleshooting.

Please note that both patch "installer" and modified E2140.exe might be treated as false positive trojan/malware/virus by some anti-virus software.
