This is the 2017 release of EGSnrc. Notable changes from the previous version are listed in the release notes. You should download the EGSnrc source code from the github repository, as per the installation instructions for your operating system. This release page provides:

  • the configuration GUIs for Linux and Windows;
  • the standalone GUIs for Linux and Windows;
  • the standalone GUIs for macOS;
  • an archive of all the EGSnrc manuals available on http://nrc-cnrc.github.io/EGSnrc/; and
  • additional sample data sets in support of some EGSnrc examples.

Backwards incompatibilities

  • egs++ rotation transformations
    • if you are using an old egs++ inputfile with rotation transformations, the y-axis rotation direction has changed
    • see commit 0cf6670 for more details
