We are supposed to zoom in to our area of interest.
But the map is too dark to see it.

I made some experiments with more layers on the dev instance (see also #33):

Would appreciate more feedback, but also don't want to spend much more time on it.

Did you see the layer switcher (top right button) with alternative layers including the standard "OSM" carto layer?

Ah, that one is usable!
(OK I would have never thought of looking in that layers menu.
As layers usually just refer to the map underneath the (dark) mask.)
