ThanksgivingRecipes is a CLI application that scrapes the foodnetwork website to find recipes related to Thanksgiving. The user specifies a search term and the scraper finds Thanksgiving related recipes with that search term. The user can select recipes and build a menu for Thanksgiving. When they are done, the application prints a list with all the recipes and ingredients that they can copy and paste to save. In short, this app is an alternative for browsing and saving recipes for Thanksgiving from the the foodnetwork website.
The gems required to use this app are: nokogiri and open-uri
Download this app by cloning this repo. Run the application by executing the run file with './bin/run'
