Examples for the course on numerical semigroups at the Scuola superiore di Catania

In this folder there are some examples of the use of gap for the contents of the course. Also, some exercises are proposed.

We will follow mainly this book on numerical semigroups and this other with some applications.

First steps in GAP
Firts lesson on numericalsgps: minimal generators, gaps, Apéry sets
Second lesson on numericalsgps: pseudo-Frobenius numbers, some "extreme" families (maximal embeddin dimension, irreducible, almost symmetric)
Third lesson on numericalsgps: gluings, Hilbert series, minimal presentations I
Fourth lesson on numericalsgps: computing minimal presentations, presentations and binomial ideals, complete intersections
Fifth lesson on numericalsgps: non-unique factorization invariants, primality, divisors
Sixth lesson on numericalsgps: ideals of numerical semigroups
