Cannot find module 'vue-tsc/out/index'

I'm trying to get a nuxt application to work with nuxt typescript typechecking: https://nuxt.com/docs/guide/concepts/typescript

For some reason I always get the following error:

Note: I didn't create a bugreport as that seems to work for others

For me it helped reinstalling the dependencies with the package manager that I chose during set up of the project, e.g. pnpm add -D vue-tsc typescript

Hmm. I did this several times now (including removing node-modules, yarn.lock file, etc.) and I keep getting the same error. I also checked if the module exists in my node modules and they do. I'm thinking this is more of an issue that the access is somehow restricted or anything. I also have a weird issue with my local setup when running a nuxt project without setting:

Is it possible that is related to that? I'm thinking about completely wiping evrything on my machine and reinstalling but I would like to avoid that

I just had the same problem after upgrading vue-tsc to the latest ^2.0.0 version. I still haven't found a way of fixing it.

I was able to solve this issue by removing type check.

Does that... Disable type checking? What if I want type checking, at least in my IDE while developing. Does this just disable a final type check during generation time?

is vue-tsc 2.0.24 instead of 2.0.26 the solution?

Im running nuxt 3.11.2 and vue-tsc 2.0.26 and definitely it isn't working...

Furthermore package @types/apollo-upload-client isn't working well, adding it to compilerOptions.types doesn't augment typescript types.... I think that package apollo-upload-client has a too wide compatibility range... resulting in a messy setup/integration.
Why it doesn't expose a js dist with entrypoints specified inside package.json!? that's not the standard for publishing packages.

I was correctly using package apollo-upload-client on nuxt2 but I can't find a way to make it working on nuxt3.
