Hellenic Centre for Marine Research [custom] hard substrate sampler -
Scuba diving, by placing a plexiglas frame (25x25 cm) with attached net 63μm on the substrate and scraping the framed area completely. The samples were then collected with an underwater suction device working with pressure from a diving tank. Samples were washed through a 500 mm mesh sieve and fixed in 96% ethanol

Hi @danibodc @melinalou if this is the case the n should we not consider broadening the definition of TOOL1815? What are these minor differences? Are they improvements? or adaptation for use in different conditions?

Dear @melinalou,

Thanks for your patience. I've been looking into this and I have two questions:

  1. Could the plexiglass frame be used independently of the MANOSS, and could the MANOSS be used independently of the plexiglass frame?
  2. If the MANOSS has to be used in conjunction with a frame, does it have to be made of plexiglass, and have the size, shape and mesh size specified above, or can variations be used as well?
