• o3de-extras repo is now a canonical external repo for O3DE. See O3de extras ar o3de#11862. Open question: What will this mean for docs?
• Upcoming Joint SIG:TSC Agenda 2022/11/29 tsc#59, where we'll raise awareness for a codeowners file for o3de.org.

Our community is welcome to suggest and vote on agenda items. If you suggest an item you need to have a designated presenter (normally the issue filer), but any community member can vote and isn't required to attend meetings or even participate in further discussion. If you think something is a good idea to discuss for the O3DE community, please upvote!

Main needs to be merged into development. It is causing an increasing number of problems for development branch to be so out of date.

Sig Updates

• o3de-extras is now an official repository of the project
  • Q: Will it have a separate release cycle than the O3DE?
  • Q: If so, should o3de-extras document what o3de versions it currently supports?
• Plans to discuss the Codeowners file implementation with the TSC on 11/29.

Agenda items

• RFC Proposal - Require 1 docs-reviewer and 1 technical-reviewer for o3de.org repo #70 was reviewed by the SIG.
  • Comments: SIG may need to add clarification of when technical reviewers are not required for PR approval.
  • Additional discussion of the proposal may be found in the proposal's comments.
  • SIG voted on the proposal and APPROVED.
• Engine Developer Guide RFC #73 is open for review and comment. Vote planned for 12/13.
• Main -> Development merge requested.
  • SIG will investigate during the week of 11/28 whether nightly or weekly automated merges are possible.
  • SIG to consider policy of mandatory Main -> Development merges after structural changes to main's directory in order to minimize conflicts.
• Reviewer and maintainer nominations form has had formatting and clarifications added. It is available for review and feedback.
• Draft of Template for website reviewer nominations. [RELATED #61] #79 is in progress.
• Draft of Add baseline tech reviewer requirements. [RELATED #61]  #81 is in progress. @sptramer to add comments on how groups will be populated and of the roles of different groups.
