This github repository contains code and information regarding results presented in the manuscript submitted to the PLOSONE special issue "Machine Learning in Health and Biomedicine".

The radiographs used were distributed at the ImageCLEF Medical Annotation Task 2009. Due to license agreement, we are not allowed to redistribute the images.

The medical images can be obtained from Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Dipl.-Ing. Thomas M. Deserno using this link: http://publications.rwth-aachen.de/record/667225/?ln=de. The source of data should be mentioned in the figure caption or acknowledment section as follows: "Courtesy of TM Deserno, Dept. of Medical Informatics, RWTH Aachen, Germany".
