How to color dot mark from any column

For this example scatter chart I can add this to the dot mark to color by the y channel data:

stroke: "power (hp)"

However, if I try to color the dot marks by, say, the car model:

stroke: "name"

It doesn't work out of the box. What would you need to do to color dot marks via another column of data? i.e. not just the one that's used for the current y data.

I just tried it again and it worked! No idea why it didn't the first time around.
