Impacted versions:

  • 16.0.20230328

Steps to reproduce:

  • Follow Odoo 16 install documentation on Debian/Ubuntu.
  • Complete Odoo web page database manager.
  • Create a new user and select [settings] for the Administration option.
  • The following warning is displayed: Access Rights Mismatch Since yann-kaelig is a/an "Administration: Settings", they will at least obtain the right "Other: Bypass HTML Field Sanitize"

Current behavior:

  • The software is trying to tell me something but the message is incomprehensible for a human being.

Expected behavior:

  • Translate the software warning into a human language.

The warning message displayed when creating a new user and selecting "settings" for the Administration option is not clear and difficult to understand. The message suggests that the user will at least obtain the right "Other: Bypass HTML Field Sanitize" but doesn't provide any explanation as to what that means.

The expected behavior would be to provide a clear and understandable warning message that explains what access rights are being granted and why they are necessary. This would help users to make informed decisions about the access they are granting and ensure that they are not inadvertently granting excessive or unnecessary access rights.
