pg3: ‘we generated very simplistic SPECT-like images mimicking disease in four stages of severity’: This is not clear how SPECT-like images are created.

Replace term cohort for something better:

pg3: ‘a cohort of 23 datasets…’ what cohort do you mean? maybe ’23 MRI images acquired from healthy volunteers’ are describing the cohort?

pg3: Section 2.1.3 How many subjects are used for real datasets?

Do not use ''atlas'', use always ''template'':

pg4: Section 2.1.4 Templates: What is template? Can you define more precisely? Are you using atlas and template interchangeably? or is the template a set of images including ROIs and landmarks?

pg4. What do you mean ‘drawn from the numerical simulations?’, do you mean ‘selected randomly?’

pg4. ‘All the subjects were normalized to…’ → All the subjects were spatially normalized to…?

pg4. Section 2.2 Computational Methods → Spatial Normalization: PySBR

pg4. ‘We propose a multi-resolution scheme of two levels…’: Are you really proposing a method? or have you chosen a parameter for ANTS?

pg4. Section 2.2.2: Terms are confusing: Are three terminologies of Feature= Shape Feature = Landmarks indicate identical ‘feature’?

pg4: ‘As all the affine mismatch between template and subject should be captured by the initialization step, we define a number of static landmarks(I _static)’ : I do not know what this sentence means.

pg4: this feature extraction results…’ → this shape feature extraction results…?

pg5: ‘In order to correct for location…’ : What is wrong for location and orientation??? Why do we need a correction?

pg5. ‘the primary landmark’: what is the primary landmark???

pg5. ‘Therefore, the u(x) found is the solution…’: I would not start a new paragraph.

pg5. ‘In order to produce a trustful benchmarking framework, …’: are those gold standard for general/universal use? or are those designed to use for your evaluation? what do you mean ‘trustful’?

pg5. ‘… to compare the standard methodologies with our tool.’: what is the standard methodologies? the ANTs is the standard in the field?

replace putamenes -> putamens
