Error - Station streams list empty #5
Comments
I have a tool that depends on this as well, I’m working around this by hard
coding the stream urls. I will also dedicate some bandwidth this week to
search for a solution.

I hope you're still willing to update the code again.
I'm betting that iheart changed their API in some way again that has
caused this problem. Every station I try to play is met with the error
"station streams list empty". Looks like that's in parse_iheart_json.py
I'm going to see if I can fix it myself, and if I actually can then I'll
submit the fix. But you can probably fix it 10 times faster than I could.
Thanks!

Indeed the API has changed, and it appears that I'm not the only one with iheartradio code on Github anymore, and someone else has already noticed: TooTallNate/iheart@c502902 Thus I should be able to use his URLs for the moment, although this is also as good an excuse as any to packet-capture the latest official app. |
Most stations should at least return a working stream as of 9c554c5; more work is needed to handle the new API really correctly. |
I'm satisfied with basic functionality for now; please reopen if a previously-working station still fails. |
