Install instructions:

download the zip-file from https://github.com/oliworx/NanoAlbum/zipball/master
extract the zip file
upload the index.php to your webserver via ftp (e.g. to a folder album)
upload images and image folders to the same folder
open the URl to your album (e.g. http://www.example.com/album/)
thumbnails are created on thy fly
