This is a 2-day hackathon entry.

I used the Phaser game engine.

It actually works!

Unfortunately I can't put up a demo because I don't have permission to use the sprites, but here's a screenshot:

Here I have six collectors mining asteroids for resources, and two turrets firing semi-guided missiles at enemy AI ships.
