Have we really deprecated python 2.6 support?

I think all (or most) of our code supports py26, but do we really want to release conda binaries for it? IMO, the only people using py26 are people that want to use their system python installation, like /usr/bin/python on centos or something. And aren't those people by definition not using conda? I'm not sure who the userbase for conda+py26 is.

I'm fine with it. I just think it's good to discuss before committing in case anyone else isn't.

Unless someone has a pressing need for it, I think we're safe:

"With the 2.6.9 release, and five years after its first release, the Python 2.6 series is now officially retired. All official maintenance for Python 2.6, including security patches, has ended."

OK, sounds reasonable to me!
