We will complete all OONI data analysis from AZ by Friday, 7th May 2021.

This will involve an analysis of all OONI measurements collected from Azerbaijan between 1st January 2020 to 5th May 2021. Based on this analysis, we will produce new charts (that reflect blocking across a longer timeline) and relevant CSV files.

Data analysis requirements

Country code: AZ
Date range: 2020-01-01 -- 2021-05-05
Nettests: Web Connectivity, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Telegram, Tor, Psiphon

Based on this analysis, we need to produce the following charts (in a timeline based on the above date range):

  1. Blocking of media websites (we have already identified many of these in past reports)
  2. Blocking of social media (IM apps + vimeo.com + popular social media websites) => They were temporarily blocked ~ September 2020 amid the war
  3. Blocking of circumvention tool websites (we have already identified many of these in past reports)
  4. Reachability of Tor + Psiphon (they have mostly been accessible)

In addition, it would be interesting to have a few charts that provide an ASN break-down for:

  1. Blocking of media websites
  2. Blocking of circumvention tool websites

^^ The above would be particularly interesting, since we observe that blocking varies from ISP to ISP in Azerbaijan.

Finally, it would also be useful to have CSV files so that we can share the analysis.

The above will feed into our joint research report with Azerbaijan Internet Watch (which we aim to publish in June 2021).
