This epic is about redesigning the web connectivity test to overcome a bunch of systemic issues. We tried to enumerate the improvements we'd like to add with @hellais and this is the list we wrote:

  • QUIC support
  • TLS parroting
  • use the DNS of the local resolver + that of the test helper
  • reduce the number of false positives by changing the logic by which measurements are run

I'll expand on these points and create sub-issues.
