This PR:

  • Update rails-related gems to 5.x
  • Update rest of dependencies
  • Update README with actual steps to get the project up and running.

Without updating to 5.x of ActiveRecord, there was an error with ProstgreSQL when running migrations.

Added also a ConnectionManagement middleware that existed in ActiveRecord 4 and was deleted on ActiveRecord 5 (more info)
