When using cmake-gui to select Visual Studio IDE and click "configure", it takes a long time to process, seemingly getting stuck. Is this normal?

Is your computer having Internet access. It seems stuck at a fetch package step.
Else try to compile without the sample or deactivate this one and see how it goes
