I am opening this issue to clarify a series of terms used in the GeoPath module as their translation in english (strings) is not the best one. I encountered several such terms while working on OCUK wiki.

Since I am working on the wiki page now, this is a list of terms and how should they be updated in the strings file.

  • mentor - the user who creates a geopath. Should be replaced with "founder"
  • gained - found all caches in a geopath. Should be replaced with "completed"
  • Form on the map - geopath type. Maybe "geo sketch" or "geo shape" ?
  • Touring - geopath type. Maybe touristic.
  • Founds - statistics. Should be "finds"
  • sum - should be "total" (refering to points)
  • RNC (Required number of caches) or MRF (Minimum required finds) ?

@andrixnet Please note that i have add a line on the Dutch wiki how to mark the last (bonus) cache.
Please look at point 9 on http://wiki.opencaching.nl/index.php/GeoPath#Het_maken_van_een_GeoPath

@deg-pl @harrieklomp What would you say about RNC vs. MRF ?

I would suggest MRF.

I think MRF is MUCH better. (we require FINDS, not caches)

GP mentor is not same as GP founder. Yes, he starts life of GP in system, but do not need to be owner of GP. He do not need to set any geocaches in GP. He just hold their attention to GP and firm GP with his name, but do not need to put any phisical work on mentored GP. Similar as mentors in real life do.

(mentor is common word in PL and EN and have same meaning.)
