This is causing 2 things to happen, first being the share button reflects the URL with the string, and reflects the share count 0 which kills conversion rates on product pages.
The second is if the user wants to share it, the URL being shared also has the sloppy random terms in the URL, thus not crediting the actual URL, and thus not really showing to anybody visibly.
If there was a little script to strip off any ?search= or similar "attached URL variables" and give the main URL, that would solve it all.

I've noticed a lot of random social signals with sloppy URLs coming into my site.
URLs like this:
https://website.com/clean-seo-url-item-name?search=randomUserSearchTerms
Which really should be this:
https://website.com/clean-seo-url-item-name
