I performed tests using the ldb tool on full archive database. Compression on most columns reduce the size of the database.
But when I decompressed
col0, the database got only 2% larger. I tried to compact using zstd (which is not supported) and it got only 4% less large.This means in the case of
col0that compression no longer provides any meaningful benefits in the case of a full archive and there s might be a performance increase by avoiding compressing/decompressingcol0.The text was updated successfully, but these errors were encountered:
