What

  • When browsing for a certain product category in the database through the web search interface, I find myself entering and exiting product pages because I want to compare e.g. fat content, nutri score etc.
  • For such searches, I would find it much more accessible if my search results were presented as a table with e.g. this structure:

Search results for 'cream cheese':

Product NOVA Nutri-Score Fat (%) Saturated Fat (%) Sugars (%) Salt (%)
Carrée Frais 3 B 0.2 0.1 1.5 1.5
Faisselle 3 B 4 3 3 0
Skyr 3 A 0.2 0.1 3.9 0.1

We could also think about the following additional features:

  • Color highlighting cells, corresponding to the color highlighting of values on the product pages
  • Columns can be toggled to add e.g. columns for palm oil, or to remove some of the default columns from the current view
