What

  • In Spanish, 235 products have "Origen de la leche: Espana" (or U.E. etc.): https://es.openfoodfacts.org/ingredient/origen-de-la-leche
  • Ideally, it would be great to parse that kind of structure so that we can attach "origin: en:spain" to the ingredient "en:milk" that appears in the list of ingredients.
  • It's "only" 235 products for "Origen de la leche", it would be interesting to see if that kind of structure is used for other ingredients and/or in other languages.
  • For Spanish, it looks like it's mostly milk: https://es.openfoodfacts.org/ingredients?filter=origen (+ a few cases for meat or something else)
  • The easiest / quickest solution would probably be to add a "Spanish milk" label. (just like we have "French milk" already.

Swedish has products with the same origin structure:

"Ursprung mjölk: Rumänien och/eller Bulgarien." -> that's going to be challenging to parse.

Can you give it a little love by linking it to a parent issue, adding relevant labels and projets, creating a mockup if applicable, adding code pointers from https://github.com/openfoodfacts/openfoodfacts-server/blob/main/.github/labeler.yml, giving it a priority, editing the original issue to have a more comprehensive description… Thank you very much for your contribution to 🍊 Open Food Facts
