References:

Note that kepler.gl has the geopandas dependency, which can be challenging to install using pip. Kepler.gl is not yet available on conda-forge. Using the kepler module requires users to install keplergl, which is not a required dependency of leafmap.

The feature has been implemented. It supports loading any geopandas supported format, such as shapefile, GeoJSON, GeoDataFrame. Check out the links below.
