This page describes upcoming Madison features.

Version 3.0

The 3.0 release of Madison is intended to greatly simplify deployment and theming of Madison.

  • We've removed Bower as a dependency, and front-end scripts are now installed via NPM.
  • All backend code is now kept in server/, frontend code is kept in client/.
  • The entire package can be built with a single Makefile.
  • Theming is greatly improved via overrides for CSS and locale files.

Version 3.1

The 3.1 release focuses on a new platform for editing documents. We'll be replacing the old Markdown editor with a WYSIWYG editor using Etherpad as a base. This will also allow us to support modern legal data standards such as Akoma Ntoso.
